Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete Ltd is the South Island’s leading privately owned Ready Mix Concrete supplier which also specialises in aggregates and civil contracting.
As a key member of our production team you'll meet customer requirements by taking orders, advising on the quantity and type of concrete required and ensuring on time delivery. Your role is vital to ensuring the success of the daily production plan. In return you will receive opportunity for industry training, growth and development.
Key responsibilities for this position will be:
- Order taking
- Driver liaison
- Customer liaison
- Fleet management
- On site problem solving
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Concrete product knowledge
- Practical experience with computer systems
- A passion for strong, positive customer relations
- Logistics experience
- Proven ability to work in a small team

SHINGLE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete Ltd is the South Island’s leading privately owned Ready Mix Concrete supplier which also specialises in aggregates and civil contracting.
We require a hands-on supervisor to share the day to day running of our shingle operations which produces all types of aggregate. You will take ownership of stock pile management and plant utilisation, whilst leading and motivating a small team of dedicated operators. Initially reporting directly to the Belfast Site Shingle Manager, growth opportunities will be available for the right person to take on Quarry Management positions arising throughout our business.
Key responsibilities for this position will be:
- Team leadership
- Equipment maintenance
- Stockpile management and housekeeping
- Consent Compliance
- Optimising plant outputs
- Quality control focus and follow up
- Health and Safety champion
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- B Grade Quarry certificate or a higher attainment
- Production planning experience
- Knowledge of base-courses and aggregates
- Understanding of environmental management

We seek an experienced heavy machine operator (wheel loaders up to 26 tonne gross operating weights) who is looking for work variety, dedicated to safety and keen to be involved in further training / qualifications in the extractive industry.

CIVIL CONTRACTING MACHINE OPERATOR
Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete Ltd is a locally owned Company involved in the manufacturing of concrete, sand, aggregates and in civil contracting. Due to increasing demand, a vacancy for a Contract Machine Operator has arisen in our Civil Contracting Division.
Reporting to the Contracting Estimator/Supervisor you will be part of a small, busy team set on ensuring quality jobs are completed within required timeframes. Health and Safety awareness is paramount.
Key responsibilities for this position will be:
- Dedicated driver of a brand new John Deer Tractor with grader blade attached – grading to a high finish
- Working to levels
- Reading and implementing plans to specification
- Operate other machinery as required
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers License
- Class 4 licence
- High attention to detail
- Proven ability to produce quality workmanship
- Strong verbal communication skills
